Naranasan niyo na rin bang may pagkakataon sa buhay natin na sobrang motivated tayo kasi positive tayo sa sarili natin at may mga taong nagmomotivate at nagiinspire sa atin? Minsan naman may mga taong negative sa atin kaya nababawaasan yung pagiging motivated natin sa sarili? Minsan motivated tayo, minsan hindi at nakakalimutan na rin natin kung ano ba yung mga goals natin.
Kikilos ka lang ba kapag may willpower ka at motivation sa dapat mong gawin? Paano kung wala ka sa mood at hindi mo feel na gawin yung goals mo? Set ka ba ng set ng deadlines kung kailan mo ito matatapos pero sa huli nag-fafail ka parin?
Parang nasayang lang yung oras mo pero wala namang nangyayaring resulta. Ganyan din yung nararanasan ko at nangyayari sa akin, marami akong regrets dahil marami rin akong nasayang na oras. Frustrated ako nung mga tine na yun at naiinis ako sa sarili ko dahil naisip ko kung ginamit ko lang yung oras na yun para maging productive, marami na sana akong na-achieve ngayon. This time, I want to share a new strategy that I learned to achieve your goals and also achieve the success you wanted.
The Problem With How We Usually Set Goals
Alam ko marami ka ring dreams and goals sa buhay, pero meron tayong mga pagkakamali na hindi natin alam.
"We usually set a deadline, but not a schedule."
Nakafocus lang tayo sa end goal o sa deadline kaya kapag hindi natin na-achieve yung goal na 'yun. Posibleng mag-give up tayo dahil set tayo ng set ng deadline pero paulit-ulit parin ang nangyayri at bumabalik ka pa rin sa dati. In short walang consistency!
For example" "I want to lose 50 pounds by summer."
"I will became a millionaire at the age of 25 years old."
Anu ba yung action at time na willing mong ibigay para ma-achieve mo yang goal mo?
The power of setting a schedule not a deadline
Kailangan natin maging habit ang actions na gagawin natin by setting a schedule to operate rather than deadline to perform by.
1. Prioritize a goal that is most important to you and what you have to do first.
2. Instead of giving yourself a deadline, get your calendar and set your schedule time to work towards it consistently. Even if your busy at work or for other things, you should set a specific time for you to take action on it consistently.
I will share to you the examples that I'm doing when setting my schedule.
5 Minute rule
For example I'm doing exercise every morning, I'm doing it consistently without skip until It became my habit. And eventually you will do it more maybe from 5-10 minutes because your doing it consistently.
I will never became late again in my work, so I've set a schedule that I will came early 5 minutes before the time, and after I'm always doing that, I always came 10 minutes earlier before the time. And eventually it became my habit.
I'm writing articles of my blog everyday every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and I will publish it every night at 9-10pm.
-Sometimes I don't feel like doing it because I want to do it when I'm inspired, but If I will do that, I will not finish something. It doesn't matter when you do the best work when you're inspired, what matters is when your doing it in a consistend basis inspite of your mood.
My goal is simply to write an article, there is no target that I will do 2-5 articles everyday. On the first day that I did it, I only finish a one short article but after a week, I'm doing a 2 complete article per day. You will eventually do more that what you expected if you do it consistently in a small to big.
I want reading book to be my habit, so I'm reading books everyday. I just started to read 1-2 chapters of my book per day, but after a week I finished reading 2 books per week. And it became my habit! Amazing!
Dream big but start small! Even though you're doing it in a small steps and you're consistent on taking action with your goals. You will not stop doing it because you have a schedule to follow and its easy to achieve your goal it you're keep on track doing it productively. You can track what you can accomplish because you've set a schedule. You can do this strategy in any goals that you have and want to achieve.
